My newest-minted batch of milliners has just presented their final round of projects, and i can't deal with how awesome they are.


Undergraduate Lydia Hanchett made this "copper topper" from Fosshape.


Undergraduate Megan Rutherford made this Lady Gaga hat from Wonderflex, matboard, and sequin fabric.


First-year grad Colleen Dobson created this cloche from metallic horsehair braid, looped and spiraled on a block.


Second-year grad Leah Pelz created this pudding cap from leather, silk, and ethafoam.


PRC Wardrobe Supervisor Whitney Vaughan carved a 24" fedora crown block and used it to make this printed felt hat.


First-year grad Corinne Hodges made this freeform straw hat.


First-year grad Denise Dietrich really wigged out over this project. (Back view.)

The bird in the cage actually moves! His battery pack is hidden under the floral ornaments.


Whitney Vaughan also presented a wild and wacky wig based on Versailles hair, except hers is a bit more abstract: a hairstyle made out of flowers!
