I just received this notice from a colleague, about a great career advancement opportunity for East Coast (US) theatre production professionals (especially costumers):

On Saturday, February 23rd, 2008, the Shakespeare Theatre Company--along with Arena Stage, Choral Arts Society of Washington, Folger Shakespeare Library, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Round House Theatre, Smithsonian Discovery Theater, Studio Theater, Washington National Opera, Woolly Mammoth Theatre and Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts--is co-hosting an Internship and Career Fair from 11am – 4pm at the Studio Theater. Click here for directions. This event provides students from all around the greater DC – metropolitan area the opportunity to network with DC's most prominent arts organizations and learn about the various internship and employment opportunities available. Please let your students know about this exciting event.

In association with the Fair, a review of Costume Technology and Craft portfolios will be conducted from 11:30 until 2:00. This review is open to both graduate and undergraduate students and the panelist include the Costume Directors of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Arena Stage, The Washington National Opera and Signature Theater. Appointments for the portfolio review only can be made by calling Sally Kessler at 202-547-3230, ext. 3720.
