Dye Class: Resist projects

We're super busy on Cabaret, but i do have time to share a couple photos of our most recent dye class projects. Resists are the focus.

First year Colleen Dobson used silk painting techniques and gutta resist to create this tropical reef scene.


First year Corinne Hodges batiked this western railroad landscape.


Second year Candy McClernan batiked this pelican image.

For scale, all of these are at least 4 square feet in surface area.

It just struck me that this might be a good method if one wanted to make, say, a weathered, vintage t-shirt for a 70's band that never existed.
