The students in Judy Adamson's period pattern class presented bustle dresses today, and coincidentally all their project source images were from 1885! Here are some images.

Look at these cute buttons Claire made with the lace over the ground fabric!


Interestingly enough, someone's put up a design on Spoonflower of the fabric used in the original source garment for Claire's project, too! I don't know the designer--wonder if she is making a reproduction as well!

Oh Hey!! this is about me. :D
I'm doing a repro of the LACMA tennis dress for a costume contest. It will be a group effort. I'm mostly interested in the corset... This should be fun!

The dresses in your post are lovely! very talented students. I hope my version turns out half as well as Claire's! I'll share the finished dress when I have it!
