Thanks for dropping in to read it, and for your response. Like i said in the post, i write this blog as part of my job, really, and generally never deviate from the topic (since sometimes i'm posting "on the clock" even); i just felt such affront at the prompt today that i couldn't NOT say something about my experience.
I visited East Berlin while i was there, and i also went to Prague when Czechoslovakia was still an Eastern Bloc nation, but it was my memories of Rudower Hohe that stood out the most when considering life in the Cold War and what it was like back then.
