Consider this an open invitation: the Costume Production MFA program at UNC-Chapel Hill is hosting an interactive workshop on being a freelance artist, led by renowned Broadway fabric painter Margaret Peot.

Peot is the author of three books, including the forthcoming The Successful Artist’s Career Guide: Finding Your Way in the Business of Art. Her work is currently on exhibit at FIT, "On Stages in Stages: Painting for the Theatre from Parsons Meares Ltd." She will lead participants in a variety of learning exercises on topics such as copyright, portfolios, taxes, business plans, marketing of art, and more.

This event will be held on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill at the following date, location, and time:

February 27, 2012
Center for Dramatic Art, Room TBA
6:00pm


The CDA is located at the corner of Country Club Road and Paul Green Drive, between Cobb Hall and the Old Chapel Hill Cemetery. There is parking available in the Cobb Deck behind the CDA and a visitor's lot a short walk away at the corner of Country Club and NC-54/South Rd.
